Product Overview – Hirschmann GECKO 4TX

The Hirschmann GECKO 4TX is a lite-managed industrial Ethernet switch that delivers reliable, secure networking at an exceptional price point. Four 10/100 BASE-TX ports provide plug-and-play connectivity, while built-in SNMP, HiDiscovery / Industrial HiVision, and a secure HTTPS web GUI make configuration and monitoring straightforward. Network resilience is assured through Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP), Quality of Service (QoS), and extensive diagnostics—including Syslog, RMON, and LLDP—so faults are identified and resolved quickly.

Designed for tight control cabinets, the fan-less switch slips into a 25 × 114 × 79 mm DIN-rail housing. Unused ports can be disabled to prevent unauthorized access, and the rugged IP30 metal enclosure withstands shock, vibration, and temperatures from 0 °C to +60 °C. Operating from a 9.6–32 V DC (typ. 24 V DC) supply and drawing less than 3 W, the GECKO 4TX keeps energy costs low while delivering dependable performance for factory automation, building systems, and OEM machinery.
